Eden Star is a 2015 sci-fi survival game developed and published by British studio Flix Interactive. The game was initially updated at a steady pace by the developer, however there hasn’t been an update since 2020 and it remains an Early Access title to this day. Even if it seems unlikely PC exclusive Eden Star ever reaches a completed state, it still retains a small-but-dedicated player base on Steam.
Eden Star Premise
In Eden Star, your main objective is survival. The game offers physics-based combat across a series of destructible environments and biomes. If you don’t want to tackle this adventure alone, you’re in luck. It also provides both co-op and PVP multiplayer, but given the game’s lack of player base at the moment, you’ll probably have to find some friends to come along for the ride.
Outside of combat, the main mechanic involves gathering natural resources from the environment, and using these materials to build outposts and weaponry, as well as upgrading your ship. These will make it easier for you to deal with the aliens of Pharus 7. With over 20 materials and compound material types to collect, there’s a lot for you to consider while you gather your items. The construction in particular is great, as the game’s physics system allows for plenty of freedom in your creations.
It’s the exploration where Eden Star really comes into its own. The variety of aliens in each different biome makes Pharus 7 seem like a living, breathing world, and it’s plenty of fun to just explore and see what it has to offer.
Eden Star Main Characters
The problem with characters in Eden Star is that the game’s Early Access status meant it never really got to implement them in any meaningful way. While characters and story were intended to be a big part of the game, it just never reached that point in development. As a result, there’s no main character in the game, with the exception of your player character.
While the game doesn’t offer a method to customize the personality of your main character, it does provide a decent amount in the way of visual customization in the form of armor. This degrades with use though, so you have to change out your setup every now and then.
Eden Star Titles in the Series
As of right now, the prospects of Eden Star turning into a mega-franchise are slim, to say the least. With no form of update released for the game in years, and it remaining in Early Access limbo, it’s safe to say that the game is probably finished in its current state.
Without ever completing the original game, you can imagine that the gaming community wouldn’t be too pleased if Flix Interactive were to attempt a sequel. We can say with confidence that Eden Star will be remaining a sole experience for the time being.

Eden Star Cheat Codes
In Eden Star, there are absolutely no cheat codes you can use to get a quick advantage. The developer was instead focused on finishing the game, but even that wasn’t achieved.
That said, there are third-party trainers available for Eden Star that claim to give you, unlimited health, unlimited attack, unlimited harvest, mega materials, and easy kills in-game, but download these at your own peril. With trainers like this, you’re at risk of infecting your PC with a variety of dangerous viruses. Doing so for an eight-year-old Early Access title might not be the smartest move.

Are There Any Mods For Eden Star?
Often, if a game doesn’t have cheat codes, the gaming community makes up for it by creating plenty of mods for players to use. These mods will often change the game in new and exciting ways.
In the case of Eden Star, the game never received any mods from the community. Even on Nexus Mods, where the most niche games can still have a strong modding scene, there’s nothing at all.
Why Are There No Cheat Codes For Eden Star?
Flix Interactive has never given an official reason for the lack of cheat codes in Eden Star. However, it’s probably safe to attribute it to the game’s Early Access status. After all, it doesn’t make sense for the studio to focus on m making the game easier while it’s still not complete.
