Matchmaking Mishaps Happening in the Street Fighter V Beta

Companies run game betas for a reason. They want to see problems ahead of time and make sure things will work properly at launch. So yes, it’s disappointing that the latest Street Fighter V beta phase is experiencing some issues, but that is the point of this test. PlayStation 4 players may notice some trouble finding other people to play with.

This Street Fighter V beta phase began for PlayStation 4 players on October 21. Shortly after, Capcom realized there was a problem. People were reporting the matchmaking system was taking quite some time to arrange matches, as well as other issues. The company is aware of the issue, but has admitted that it might not be able to get it working properly before the beta ends on October 25.

No word yet on whether Windows PC Street Fighter V beta testers are also experiencing these issues. Their phase only just began today, after all.

Street Fighter V will come to the PlayStation 4 and PC next year.
