Medal of Honor Getting Bin Laden DLC

Medal of Honor Getting Bin Laden DLC

Wait, wait, wait. Wasn’t Medal of Honor the franchise that had to rename “The Taliban” to “The Opposing Force” lest people get too upset? Now they are adding a full-on hunt for Bin Laden DLC?

Yes, Electronic Arts has announced that it is partnering with Sony Pictures to bring a brand new DLC to Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The DLC, based on the upcoming movie Zero Dark Thirty , will surround the hunt for Bin Laden. EA will release a multiplayer map pack based on the movie the week of the film’s December 17 release. It will include two multiplayer maps set in real world locations: Pakistan’s Darra Gun Market and Pakistan’s North Chitral region.

As bizarre as this whole situation is, at least proceeds from the DLC will go to a good cause. EA will donate one dollar from every map pack sold to nonprofit veterans organizations through their Project Honor campaign. So even though it still boggles the mind how this DLC can fly in a market that literally flew off the handle over the very word “Taliban,” at least we can rest well knowing the money raised will go to a good cause.

In addition, the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition will come with the Zero Dark Thirty DLC pre-packaged. All gamers who have pre-ordered Warfighter will automatically be upgraded to the Limited Edition.
