Minecraft 360 Will Include Splitscreen

Minecraft 360 Will Include Splitscreen

None

The guys over at Hook Shot Inc. recently got to sit down with Roger Carpenter, lead producer of Minecraft’s upcoming Xbox 360 version, to talk about the upcoming release. A couple interesting details emerged, including the implementation of a splitscreen multiplayer mode. Up to four players can play Minecraft locally on one Xbox 360, while eight players can join up to play the game online.

Other important details include what can and can’t be done with a console version of the game. Unfortunately, players will not be able to install mods nor will they be able to interact with other users on the PC version of the game. Players will also not be able to modify the textures and skins of their characters and the game will not be compatible with Kinect.

The developers have not even decided on a price yet. However, there is one thing you can look forward to in the Xbox 360 version: achievements, and lots of them. Unfortunately, no specific details about the achievement list could be revealed at this time.
