There’s a lot happening in the Minecraft world right now (when is there not?). Let’s begin with the most immediate update, shall we? Minecraft has been on Xbox for four years now. To celebrate, from today through May 16 you can download a super special Birthday Skin Pack. This is available for free on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 consoles. Actually, Microsoft and Mojang are offering the previous 3 Birthday Skin Packs as well, so you’ll be getting 4 skin packs total. Happy anniversary, Minecraft and Microsoft!
There’s exciting news on the Nintendo front as well. A big update for Mincraft: Wii U Edition is coming on May 17, just as soon as the Xbox anniversary party winds down. The update will be bringing tons of Super Mario- themed goodies to players for the whopping price of totally free. 40 new skins introduce Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and many more to the world of Minecraft , and you’ll even be able to do battle against hammer bros and dry bones. The update will also come with 15 new pieces of Super Mario- themed music, lots of item textures, and a pre-made world to play around in and get inspired by. When the physical edition of Minecraft: Wii U Edition launches on June 17, all of this content will be included on the disc. Happy crafting, everyone!
