Mortal Kombat X will feature a ton of different DLC characters to choose from, including strange cameo characters such as The Predator and Jason Voorhees. But how can you tell if you even like these characters? Luckily, game director Ed Boon has said that you’ll be able to try out these characters every so often, even if you didn’t purchase them.
The place you want to look to sample these characters is the game’s challenge towers. One of these towers, the Premiere Tower, will sometimes feature DLC characters. You can then attempt to scale the tower, whether or not you have purchased the DLC character. However, the DLC character won’t be available in any other mode. You’ll have to purchase it if you want to bring it into training or use it anywhere other than the Challenge Tower.
Of course, when these DLC characters will rotate in will be entirely random. So keep your eyes peeled in order to try out all that MKX has to offer.
