Need for Speed: Undercover Cheats & Cheat Codes for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and More

As one of the more plot-heavy titles in the series, Need for Speed: Undercover was released on multiple platforms in late 2008. It is the twelfth installment in the series where players participate in illegal street races. This time around, the player is undercover, as the name suggests. The game was developed by Electronic Arts’ studio Black Box and published by the parent company. Let’s dive into what Need for Speed: Undercover can offer in terms of story, characters, gameplay, cheats, codes, and more.

Need for Speed: Undercover Premise

Need for Speed: Undercover borrows quite a bit from earlier design elements found in the series, especially Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The developers decided to veer away from the approach they took with this game’s predecessor, Need for Speed: ProStreet, which failed to garner a large following.

The game takes place in the fictional Tri-City Area, and players involve themselves in illegal street racing. The plotline of the game revolves around the player character’s work as an undercover police offers who is investigating a criminal underground that connects stolen cars, street racing, and questionable personalities.

The game features various real-world cars.

In terms of the gameplay, players can expect similar features to the previous titles, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed: Carbon. However, there are also plenty of new additions, like a much more complete set of licensed real-world cars and role-playing elements combined with the game’s story mode.

Need for Speed: Undercover Characters

In Need for Speed: Undercover, characters play crucial roles in shaping the storyline. While many Need for Speed games do not include expansive storylines and complex characters, Need for Speed: Undercover is one of the games in the series that does that. In the game’s story mode, players take on the role of an undercover police officer tasked with investigating what is happening with a local criminal organization. This involves staying close to illegal activities that include stolen cars and street races.

  • The Player: In Need for Speed: Undercover, players assume the role of an undercover officer with the Tri-City Bay Police Department. As the central character, the player is deeply engaged in investigations, attempting to infiltrate and dismantle illegal racing circuits.
  • Rose Largo: Rose Largo is one of the antagonists in Need for Speed: Undercover. She graduated from Stanford with honors. Before turning to crime, she achieved academic success but is now a fierce street racer.
  • FBI Special Agent Chase Linh: A central character in the story mode of Need for Speed: Undercover. Chase Linh is an FBI Special Agent who is helping the player character take down a smuggling syndicate. However, there are more twists and turns in Linh’s story. She is not just a simple partner.
  • Hector Maio: Hector Maio is known for his adrenaline-fueled racing and flashy cars. Hector’s desire for thrill and connection to his brother Zack Maio makes him an important figure in the criminal racing scene.
  • Chau Wu: Chau Wu leads the Chinese Mafia (Triads) in Need for Speed: Undercover. He often drives a black Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. However, it is his stolen BMW M6 that reveals information about his criminal background.
  • Gregory MacDonald (GMAC): GMAC is one of the illegal street racers in Need for Speed: Undercover. He is also a former Lieutenant in the Tri-City Bay Police Department. His retirement from the force came because of corruption and his passion for illegal street racing. GMAC is the leader of a crew in Sunset Hills.
  • Carmen Mendez: Carmen Mendez is one of the few allies of the player. The tension and interest between Mendez and the player character add an exciting aspect to the storyline. Her connections with the criminals are important to the investigation.
  • Zack Maio: Zack Maio is known as an explosive personality with driving skills to match. As the younger brother, Maio is the second-in-command in Hector’s crew. This volatile character is a threat to police officers, which is proven by his extensive criminal record.

These cheats focus on unlocking new vehicles and adding money to the player. However, do note that these are not confirmed to work on all versions of the game. Also for many of the cheats, we have multiple codes, so make sure you try all of them, in case the first doesn’t work.
