Yarr, mateys! Borderlands 2 is being invaded by pirates! No, not the crappy Internet pirates with their bit-torrents and their file-sharing and their illegally modded software. No, I’m talking about the best pirates of all: Space Pirates!
On October 16 th , the “Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty” DLC will drop for Borderlands 2. Sure, there may be no water on Pandora. In fact, the entire DLC focuses on an area that is essentially a huge sea of sand. But that doesn’t stop truly swarthy pirates!
The DLC follows the titular Captain Scarlett and a search for hidden treasure. You will have to battle new enemies like sandworms, ride sand ships across the desert, and even collect entirely new forms of currency.
“Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty” will retail for $9.99 alone, or you can purchase a season pass for $29.99 which will eventually give you access to three more Borderlands 2 DLC campaign. The season pass only covers the campaigns themselves, however. Additional DLC content like the recently release Mechromancer will still need to be purchased separately.
