New Legend of Zelda: Night of Gloom Announced for Wii (April Fool's)

None

A brand new entry in the Legend of Zelda franchise was recently announced by Nintendo. No, we’re not just talking about the DS offering, Spirit Tracks, I mean a real Zelda title.

Certainly Nintendo’s best kept secret, The Legend of Zelda: Night of Gloom will be releasing on April 5, 2009, just in time for the launch of DSi in North America. No one knows exactly why the game will release with the new handheld, but many believe there will be some cross-functionality like what we saw in Wind Waker.

The new Zelda title for Nintendo Wii will once again feature an adult Link, even more dark and brooding than in the Twilight Princess. According to the presser, Link is taken over by darkness, similar to what happened to the Prince of Persia in the Two Thrones. Luckily he’ll have some help from Midna and another skin-suit wearing fairy.
