Companies like to keep quiet about DLC plans, to help build hype for a game after its release. So while we know Rainbow Six Siege’ s Operation Black Ice was the season one DLC for the game, we knew absolutely nothing about the follow up packs that will be released throughout the year.
The past tense is important there, because now we do know more about what’s to come. Ubisoft has offered locations for the next three seasons of Rainbow Six Siege’ s add-ons. During the Investor Day presentation, the United States, Brazil, and Japan were confirmed as locations for the next three pieces of DLC. They will be released in the second, third, and fourth quarters of this year.
Ubisoft didn’t say what will be in each Rainbow Six Siege add-on, but they should be similar to the Canadian Operation Black Ice released on February 2. It added the Yacht map, the Buck and Frost Operators, and five weapons. The Spectator Camera feature was also included in that update. Odds are, the next three add-ons will also each include a map, new operators, and a few weapons too.
