According to Lazard Capital Markets’ Colin Sebastian as reported by GameSpot, the next entry in The Legend of Zelda series may release in 2009 along with an all-new Princess Peach title. Also, it was hinted that the next Grand Theft Auto could be available as early as 2010. In his report, Colin Sebastian listed 22 games currently in development that could release in 2009 and should help the gaming market grow a modest 5% over 2008. Though this list of games is strictly speculative, the analyst’s informed position abreast the ins and outs of the gaming market makes such claims seem more than reasonable. “Looking ahead to 2009, we expect mid-single-digit growth in software sales on a tough growth comparison and potentially fewer hit titles (e.g., no GTA V until 2010),” Sebastian wrote.
