Alongside Robin and Catwoman, another famous Bat-character is joining the playable roster of the star-studded Batman: Arkham City. Nightwing, the striking-out-on-his-own superhero identity of Batman’s first Robin, Dick Grayson, has been leaked by way of the PlayStation 3 trophy list for Arkham City. In addition to trophies for the main game, the list also includes those attributed to pre-order DLC, including “Nightwing Revenge” and “Campaign Nightwing,” both of which award trophies for obtaining medals in the Arkham City and Nightwing Bundle Pack campaigns… As Nightwing.



Nightwing is a long-rumored addition to the Arkham City cast and, while this doesn’t guarantee an appearance by the capeless wonder in the game’s increasingly dark story, it does offer long-time fans of the Batman franchise, and those who fondly recall the original Batman/Robin dynamic, another incentive to pick up an already attractive game. Batman: Arkham City will be out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Tuesday, October 18. A PC version is slated to follow on November 1, with the game coming to Nintendo’s new Wii U in 2012.
