Did you play through Koei Tecmo’s alpha and beta tests for Nioh ? You’re going to wish you had. A new live stream showed off some extra rewards people will be able to get in the game as rewards for playing through early versions. Alpha test players get an Onryoma helmet for William, while beta testers get a Hinoenma helmet. You’re never fully dressed without a helmet!
Those weren’t the only things shown off in the Nioh live stream. One of the levels people will explore is called Iga, and one of the bosses is going to be the Great Toad. You’ll look good while heading into that area and fighting that opponent, as the game will have an Appearance Copy feature. This lets William look like he’s wearing certain pieces of equipment, while actually wearing and getting the stat boosts from another.
It’s really encouraging how often Koei Tecmo is attempting to connect with PlayStation 4 owners over Nioh . It took all the insight from the alpha and beta tests into consideration and used them to adjust difficulty, features, and gameplay. The company is holding live streams up to the release date, to go over new elements. It’s quite an outreach program!
