Are you interested in Super Mario Run , the first mobile game starring Mario? You aren’t the only one. Some preliminary figures have come in regarding interest in the game, and it turns out a lot of people want this free-to-play, one-button platformer that sounds like it’ll have a lot in common with endless runners. Apparently, over 20 million people want to know when it’s available.
See, iTunes has a notification feature for Super Mario Run . If you want to know the moment it launches so you can add it to your iPhone or iPad, you click a button asking to be notified. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, told Buzzfeed Japan that over 20 million people already have clicked that button. Which means this game could have a guaranteed top spot on the charts when it launches in December 2016.
I’ll admit it, I clicked that button. I want to know when Super Mario Run is available. I doubt I’ll stick with it for long. I’m not super crazy about one button games or runners. But this is a rather special occasion, and you don’t want to miss it.
