So I guess we won’t be seeing the types of flash sales that we’ve been used to seeing on Steam over the years, but that doesn’t change the fact that if you’re looking for the cheapest place to snag the greatest games, there’s no competition. Steam knows how to put on a sale, and its winter sale, apparently, is right around the corner.
It seems like the online payment service PayPal has leaked the starting date of the winter sale through an ad banner displayed on its website. It simply reads, “The Steam Winter Sale starts December 22!” They weren’t even trying to be discreet, were they? Oh well, we knew it was coming and now you have a chance to decide who among your family don’t deserve Christmas presents this year. You’re going to need that extra dough, after all. Like most of the Steam sales, we can expect new games to go on sale every day of the week, with the sale prices extending through the end of the sale. Personally I’m hoping this will be my chance to snag Rocket League on the cheap.
