In a recent post on the U.S. PlayStation Blog, Sony has finally confirmed the existence of their party-style fighting game, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. The game is a 3D Smash Bros.-style brawler that brings together all the big names of the PlayStation universe, from Kratos and Sweet-Tooth to Parappa the Rapper and Fat Princess. The development team is filled with people who have experience in creating fighting games. Their goal is to create a game that is “accessible yet deep,” something that is easy to pick up and play but that isn’t grossly imbalanced for the tournament-minded gamer. Speaking of the tournament-minded gamer, the game will have an online mode, which the development team is spending a lot of time on, complete with tournament play. The team is working to make online play feel as much like offline play as possible. ![]()
As of now, there is a limited amount of information available about the game, but the team has said that they will have much more info at E3. By Angelo M. D’Argenio |
