All Points West is known for its collection of amazing musicians, but Sony’s also got a bevy of goodies on display at the music festival. Starting today and continuing through the weekend, attendees at the Jersey City event will Get hands-on time with LIttleBigPlanet, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, BUZZ! Quiz TV, and more.

August 8, 2008 – Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) will offer music fans an opportunity to show off their own vocal talents and preview some of this year’s most anticipated PlayStation 3 (PS3) games at the first-ever All Points West Music & Arts Festival to be held August 8-10 at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. A proud co-sponsor of the event, SCEA will feature designated PlayStation gaming tents equipped with interactive centers that enable consumers to experience PlayStation products firsthand and socialize and compete with fellow music-loving gamers in a fun and comfortable environment.

The PlayStation Central tent will feature an interactive area for SingStar as well as Rock Band where aspiring artists can channel their inner rockstar. Trivia buffs will get their chance to test their knowledge on the pick-up-and-play game show experience BUZZ! Quiz TV. Attendees can also try their hand at the pulse-pounding racing action game MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, both exclusively available for PS3 later this year. Top scorers of the day will be rewarded the VIP experience, which includes access to a special VIP area with shaded lounges and a special viewing platform of the main stage.

Attendees can also cool off at the LittleBigPlant Tent, featuring hands-on experience with one of this year’s most anticipated games. Set for release exclusively on PS3 in October 2008, the community and creativity-based game LittleBigPlanet, developed by Media Molecule, enables players meet on a blue and green planet scattered with individual plots and use their character’s amazing abilities to play, create and share what they build with others throughout the world via the online PlayStation Network.

Radiohead (Friday and Saturday) and Jack Johnson (Sunday) will headline the three-day festival, which will feature more than 45 artists on three stages at the 80-acre historic location with panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline.
