The most adorable Nintendo game is getting an adorable update and an adorable new amiibo. Poochy & Yoshi’s Wooly World is headed to the Nintendo 3DS on February 3, 2017. The 3DS version will include every stage from the original Wii U game, and will also contain bonus levels that focus exclusively on Yoshi’s canine sidekick Poochy. There will also be a new power-up: Poochy pups will scurry along behind you, occasionally sprinting ahead to indicate where you can find secret treasure and hidden areas.
Want more Poochy? Of course you do! A series of stop-motion shorts starring Yarn Yoshi and Poochy will accompany the game, and to celebrate, Nintendo is also releasing a new Yarn Poochy amiibo. It’s the cutest amiibo I’ve ever seen. Just look at ‘im. You’ll be happy to know that his amiibo stamp is on his little Poochy butt. We don’t know what he will do yet, but I have a feeling it’ll have something to do with Poochy Pups. Nintendo, you have outdone yourselves.
