The release of Jurassic World is a testament to just how well this franchise has held onto its popularity over the years. While the first two sequels are so-so at best, Jurassic World hopes to recapture some of the magic of the first film. Now, one of its stars drops a few hits regarding the upcoming flick.
In a recent interview, Chris Pratt (who will star alongside Bryce Howard) reveals how the script once again throws us into a world where humans and dinosaurs simply don’t mix. “…Oh, yes! Let’s make this mistake again! We haven’t learned our lesson about dinosaurs. We should definitely live with them and see how that works out! After three tries, they answer the question really well through the script. Colin did a great job of writing it and justifying it. Kind of, in his own way, having fun with that so that anybody who goes in with that question will be really amused the way I was.” Says Pratt.
While Dr. Grant and Dr. Malcolm both returned for their own individual follow-ups, Pratt reveals how his character resembles these fan favorites. He suggests that perhaps it melds the best of both, stating, “He’s got a little of both characters…He’s got a little bit of the Goldblum cynicism, but also the Sam Neill excitement at the wonder and the biology of it all.”
Jurassic World will hit theaters in June of 2015.
