PS3/PS4 Get New WWE App, Network Launches Tonight!

It’s time to say your prayers, take your vitamins, and get ready for some old school wrestling action on your PlayStation! The new WWE Network app arrives today, just hours ahead of its launch.

At CES this year, WWE confirmed rumors that have been buzzing around the industry for months regarding the launch of their very own network. Now, after weeks of hype, the network will go live after RAW tonight. Perkins Miller, who handles digital media for the WWE, recently touted the networks vast content, including how to access it via your PlayStation consoles. “I’m very excited to announce that WWE Network, the first-ever, 24/7 streaming network, will be available on PS3 and PS4 starting today! If you didn’t catch our announcement earlier this year, WWE Network will feature all 12 WWE live pay-per-view events – including WrestleMania – for $9.99 per month with a six month commitment.” Said Miller.

The network will feature thousands of hours of WWE/WWF content, as well as materials from other wrestling promotions from the 70s, 80s and 90s (like WCW, ECW, AWA and more). However, they also plan to break new ground in the wrestling world, with new reality shows like Legends House . Miller reveals that fans can expect “… groundbreaking original programming, reality shows, documentaries, classic matches and more than 1,000 hours of video on demand at launch.”

You can get the app on the PlayStation store, as well as mobile devices and the 360. An Xbox One version is planned for later this summer.
