If you’re one of those people who needs sales figures to validate your console purchases or help you decide which one to get, last month probably made a PS4 look more appealing. The NPD Group went through the June 2015 sales data and the PS4 beat out all other consoles last month.
Exact numbers weren’t released, but it is known the PS4 outsold the Xbox One, Wii U, and 3DS last month. However, total Xbox One sales were up 51 percent in June, and Wii U and 3DS sales are up 20% from this time last year. So you could say all the systems are doing well.
However, PS4 success in particular is being credited to the two Batman: Arkham Knight bundles released in June. The game was last month’s biggest seller, and $399.99 and $449.99 limited edition bundles including the console and the game helped move units.
