Resistance 3 Box Art Is Easy On the Eyes

Resistance 3 Box Art Is Easy On the Eyes

Insomniac has teamed up with artist Olly Moss to create some stunning box art for their upcoming 1950’s human versus alien epic, Resistance 3. The result is one of the best box art designs I’ve seen since Borderlands’ equally as memorable cover. For the unfamiliar, Olly Moss is a UK based artist who has worked on brands like Star Wars, Star Trek, Nike, Puma, and GQ. He also has some incredibly cool cover designs on his personal site for classic video games including Half-Life, Silent Hill, and GoldenEye.

Resistance 3 takes place in 1957, four years after the events in the second game. Joseph Capelli has all but given up after being dishonorably discharged from service, forcing him and his family into hiding from the growing Chimeran threat. When Dr. Fyodor Malikov arrives with the chance to cripple the enemy, Capelli decides it’s time to fight back.

Along with what promises to be an engrossing adventure across the crumbling US, the game promises several new additions including volatile Chimeran plants and several new weapons, including the Mutator whose shots cause enemies to explode. It also introduces an upgradeable arsenal of weapons so you can adapt your weapons against increasingly powerful enemies. The game also features a 16-player competitive multiplayer and a customizable leveling up system.

Resistance 3 and its Sharp Shooter attachment will be released on September 6th, exclusively for the PS3 and will feature PlayStation Move support.
