Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 Shows off its Package

Atlus is “likely to regret choice of words in header.” Still, we don’t blame them for wanting to flaunt the goods.

The critically acclaimed Shin Megami Tensei series continues with Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon for PlayStation 2. Releasing on May 12th, limited quantities of collector’s edition bundles will be made available to diehard fans who make special preorders.

The bundles will not only feature the newest “chapter in the stunningly original action RPG series” but also a Raiho plushie that will “steal your heart (if he doesn’t try to eat your soul first).”

Atlus has done a nice job of giving fans extra goodies with recent game purchases. This plan is known as the “Atlus Spoils fan appreciation program,” and the Raiho plushie represents the “centerpiece” of the marketing scheme.

When a woman walks into the Narumi Detective Agency and asks to find a man, Raidou’s boss is reluctant to accept, but soon it’s clear there’s more to the case than it seems on the surface. It isn’t long before Raidou is on the trail of crooked gamblers, masked ninja, and strange insects… a trail leading him inexorably to the mysterious King Abaddon.
