Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows, and More

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows, and More

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Summary

Are the stars in the sky our enemy?

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, or Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker if you want to include the overall series title, is a Nintendo 3DS game first released in February 2012 (at least in the United States). It follows the adventures of three ordinary high school students, who are pulled into a world of demons by an unseen twist of fate. Developed by Atlus, this top-down game takes the player through two separate storylines depending upon the choices they make.

The gameplay is a turn-based action system like Fire Emblem but mixed with Pokemon-style move lists and abilities. It also draws inspiration from the Persona series, featuring Social Links and a new feature called the Fate System.

Not to be confused with Devil Summoner 2. Yes, the names are similar, yes, they are made by the same company, but no, they are, in fact, different games.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Premise

It was just an average day in Tokyo, Japan. You were on your way home from a mock exam with your two best friends, Daichi and Io. Then, they get a mysterious and quite frightening message from something called Nicaea, and it shows all three of them dead. Okay, weird, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Probably a scam, right?

Then an earthquake happens, and the next thing you know, a subway car comes hurtling at you.

Before you become a smear on the pavement, Nicaea offers you a choice, either die right there or become Demon Tamers. Naturally, you pick the latter. The next thing you know, demons appear from your phones, and…save you? Well, they appear to want to kill you themselves, so at least you’ve gone from death by subway to death by demons. But luckily, there’s a way to save yourself from these creatures. You just have to defeat them, and make them yours. You are a Demon Tamer now, after all.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Main Characters

  • The Protagonist. Their canon name is Hibiki Kuze or Hiro Kageyama. Despite being, well, silent, they are the leader of the group.
  •  Daichi Shijima. Easygoing and cheerful, Daichi has been the protagonist’s best friend for many years now. But he does have a bit of a cowardly streak. To be fair, he is dealing with demons, and he is only a high school student.
  •  Io Nitta. A popular girl who’s somewhat shy, Io hasn’t been your friend for quite as long, but she is still someone you can rely on in this mess.
  •  Yamato Hotsuin Dressed in black with snow-white hair, Yamato has been at the supernatural game longer than you have, but he can be a bit of a jerk. Still, better to have him with you than against you.
  •  Makoto Sako. The right hand of Yamato, once an aspiring Olympic swimmer turned cop, Makoto is the group’s team mom, for however long that lasts.
  •  Otome Yanagiya. The doctor of the Osaka Branch. She has two jobs, one is to heal, and the other is to raise her adopted daughter.
  •  Fumi Kanno. The technical expert and head of the science department. Sadly, while her science skills are great, her ability to talk to people is about on par with a sheet of paper.
  •  Airi Ban. Fierce and fiery, this first-year student had dreams of playing the piano but had to put them on hold due to her family’s financial status.
  •  Jungo Torii. A chef who lives with his kind and simple mindset.
  •  Keita Wakui. He’s a boxer. Likes to fight and will fight at the drop of a hat.
  •  Hinako Kujou. Needs to put more clothes on.
  •  Yuzuru “Joe” Akie. A salaryman who’s fond of word games, and teasing people, and is honestly the most normal guy out of the bunch.
  •  Ronaldo Kuriki. A P.I. who fights for justice! Sometimes a friend, but…what else could he be?

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Cheat Codes

As you might expect, there aren’t any true “cheat codes” for this game. But, let’s go over some early tips and tricks to make your summoning journey a bit easier!

  • Don’t be a Jack of All Trades. You’ll just wind up being a Master of None. Instead, try to focus on building the MC’s stats and abilities the way you want them. You have plenty of party members, so let them fill in the gaps.
  •  We need to fuse. To that end, don’t be afraid to fuse the demons you get from negotiating. Most of them aren’t very good, but with Fuse, you can grant them additional abilities!
  •  Only the Almighty. So, with a bit of tinkering and playing around, you can make any demon immune to anything except Almighty. This is a major boon, as it means you only need to worry about one attack type.
