At this point, I think everyone is familiar with the rampant modding community surrounding The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim . A recent mod has taken inspiration from a seemingly unlikely, but altogether relevant, source.
If you’re unfamiliar with the name Pop Team Epic , you’re doing yourself a disservice. It’s an anime based on a web comic with the same name. The thing about Pop Team Epic that’s made it insanely popular with viewers (both Japanese and otherwise) is the ridiculous amount of pop culture references.
As I’m sure you’ve already put two and two together here, yes, there is a Skyrim reference in Pop Team Epic . One of the characters appears in the all too familiar opening sequence of the game and says, “Are you awake now?” to the camera. The infamous cart driver is in the background and rain falls all around. One Skyrim modder by the name of Higeyoshi has created a mod that puts the very same character into your version of Skyrim .
The mod actually puts “helmets” on two of the other people in the cart that gives them the appearance of the two main characters from Pop Team Epic .
