Sony Details PS4 Launch Apps

With the launch date only a week away, more information has been released detailing the digital-entertainment apps we can expect to find on our pretty new Playstations come the 15 th of November. The information has appeared on the PR Newswire site ,where the company states that “PS4 gamers will have access to a rich portfolio of services starting on day one that feature the hottest movies and television shows, unique specialized content, and love sports programming.”

Sony’s own Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited will–unsurprisingly–be available from the 15, as will Netflix and Sony Pictures’ Crackle. On the more niche side of things anime fans will be pleased to know that Crunchyroll will be rolling out on launch, and viewers of Indian TV will benefit greatly from the presence of a YuppTV app, which will “offer over 150 Indian TV channels Live and on demand.”

Amazon Instant Video : Rent or buy from over 15,00 titles or subscribe to Prime and get unlimited streaming.

EPIX ® : Subscribers to the service has instant access to more than 3,000 titles on-demand including “Hollywood franchises, award-winning original documentaries plus music and comedy specials”.

Hulu Plus : Instant streaming of “current hit shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons, and South Park.”

NBA Game Time : Subscribe to get access to real-time stats, scores and schedules, as well as recaps and video highlights.

NHL GameCenter LIVE : Subscribe to stream live “out-of-market games in HD.”

Redbox Instant : Subscribe to access a library of streamable movies “and receive 4 DVD or Blu-Ray rental nights every month.”

And VUDU : HD movies and TV shows streamed straight to your PS4 without a subscription.
