Square Enix Announces Its PAX East 2018 Line-Up

The wait is over, Square Enix has finally announced their plans for PAX East 2018. Between April 5-8 attendees can look forward to a few panels, a bunch of different games to demo, and some other special events/booth activities.

Starting with a major announcement, Square Enix will be hosting the first North American Final Fantasy Trading Card Game ( FFTCG ) Crystal Cup tournament. This will be happening on April 6 and 7, and taking place at the Westin Boston Waterfront’s Commonwealth Ballroom. You can pre-register for the event already now, which will decide who goes on to participate in the North American Championship.

Square Enix will also have three panels available to fans at PAX East. All will take place in the Albatross Theater at the Boston Convention Center. The first is on Friday, April 6 at 3:30pm called Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition : Making it Yours. The manager (Shigefumi Tanaka) and global brand manager (Raio Mitsuno) of the game will be hosting. The second panel is a Final Fantasy XIV Online panel held on Saturday, April 7 at 12:30pm. Main scenario writer (Natsuko Ishikawa) and English localization lead John Crow will be on hand to discuss Stormblood . The third and final will be a NieR: Automata panel at 3:30pm on Saturday, April 7. In attendance will be Yoko Taro (director), Yosuke Saito (producer) and Keiichi Okabe (composer).

Activities that will be held at the Square Enix booth at PAX East include the following: a Final Fantasy XIV Byakko Battle Challenge, a photo opportunity with Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omni / NieR: Automata backgrounds, and daily giveaways ( Dissidia FF Opera Omni button pins, FF XIV Online foam samurai swords, and FF XV Pocket Edition t-shirts).

Square Enix will also have the following games on hand to demo:
