Square Enix just doesn’t have enough on its plate. It’s diving head-first into the mobile space with a variety of original and ported titles. It’s wrapping up the first season of Hitman and preparing the definitive version of Rise of the Tomb Raider for PS4s. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is fresh from the womb, and production on Final Fantasy XV is wrapping up. On top of everything else, the Dragon Quest universe is teeming with activity. You’d think Square Enix would have enough to showcase during this year’s Tokyo Game Show, but apparently we’re in for a new surprise.
Square Enix launched a teaser site earlier today to announce that a new action game would be revealed at this year’s TGS. According to DualShockers ‘ translation, the game will be revealed during Square Enix’s main stage presentation on September 15 at 13:00 JST. That will work out to be around 12:00AM EST for us here in the states. Whether or not this will be a new IP is unknown, but we assume that Square Enix would have made it clear if that were the case. We’ll find out for sure next week!
