During April Fool’s, THQ released information on a fictional expansion to the over-the-top open world crime sandbox. Titled “Enter the Dominatrix,” the proposed DLC involved the Saints being captured by hostile aliens who saw the gang as the only potential opposition to their planned invasion. Rather than kill the Saints outright, however, the aliens decide it best to drop them in a virtual version of Steelport and let them run amok. And that virtual setting comes with perks. For the first time, Saints would have access not only to a bevy of vehicles, deadly weapons and volatile explosives, but full-blown preternatural abilities. In the words of THQ’s Danny Bilson, “Freaking super powers.” According to him, this is the single thing that players have wanted most—the ability to go nuts with high speed, super-powered antics in whatever way the player decides, whether in the pursuit of good or indulging in baser inclinations. And it turns out, according to an announcement out of THQ today, that this content is now a real thing, in the works as you read this.
