Super Smash Bros 3DS Has Difficulty Slider

Super Smash Bros 3DS Has Difficulty Slider

Remember Kid Icarus Uprising ? That game has a novel little mechanic, a “difficulty slider” which you could use to increase or decrease the difficulty as you play. Well, that slider has made its way into a much anticipated upcoming release: Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS.

While playing classic mode, you battle your many different stages with pre-set opponents, just like the single player modes in the original Smash Bros. releases. The difference here is that you are actually wandering on a map and can select the fights you want to participate in.

At any time you can increase the difficulty form 0 to 9, which increases the power and intelligence of A.I. controlled fighters. However, to increase this difficulty you’ll actually have to spend your earned gold. On the upside, completing classic mode on higher difficulties also gives you better loot, including more gold, new special moves, new costumes, new trophies, and stat up items for your Amiibo characters.
