Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 Players Announced

Nintendo’s E3 plans include invitational tournaments for its set of competitive games, and of course that includes the recently-announced Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018. Today, Nintendo sent out a press release announcing the invited players in the tournament, who are all competitive players from around the world, and across several versions of Super Smash Bros .

The list of players includes MkLeo, ZeRo, Armada, Abadango, Plup, Mr. R, Luky, and Mang0. Competitive Smash Bros . fans will recognize these handles from events such as EVO and GENESIS. Several of these players have either been champions, runners up, or top 5 winners at one or more of these events. Nintendo stated these players will be touching Smash Bros . for the Switch for the first time at these events, and they may not be the only names who have been invited to play the game, presumably on the stage.

Here is a video going over everything.

Nintendo is also running the Splatoon 2 World Championship Tournament at E3, which will start on June 11 and run through June 12. The Smash Bros . event will run immediately afterwards.
