New Switch Might Release in 2021

Nintendo certainly has a habit of releasing multiple versions of their consoles and handhelds during each of its generations. The Nintendo Switch, which is arguably a handheld and a console, has already received one new iteration. And it might just be possible that another is on the way.

This is according to a report released by Economic Daily News who suggests the new device could be out in 2021. They cite informed sources who are part of the Switch’s supply chain although no verification was presented as of writing. The new Nintendo Switch will supposedly have improved interactivity and a better display. Whether or not it is following the trend set forth by Microsoft and PlayStation, wherein the console receives a boost to its overall power, is unclear.

Rumors like this are far from uncommon and Nintendo has squashed such rumors about a new Switch in the past. Those denials by Nintendo have, so far, only applied to 2020, so a console release in 2021 is still very much a possibility.

Cyberpunk 2077 to Offer Free DLC

While the precise details haven’t been made available, CD Projekt Red has officially announced that their game, Cyberpunk 2077 , will contain free DLC.

This news was made public in the form of a tweet made on the game’s official Twitter account. When one user named NachoFireX asked if the game would offer DLC in a similar fashion to another one of the developer’s games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , the person who runs the game’s twitter account responded with a gif of the Kool-Aid Man saying “ohhh yeaahh.”

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had a bunch of free DLC in the form of items, quests, a New Game+ mode, and more. These were all released within a few months after launch. The Witcher and The Witcher 2 also received enhanced editions which were distributed as free upgrades. CD Project Red’s co-founder, Marcin Iwiński, has said that he hopes practices like this become an industry standard.

UFO Missions Discovered in GTA Online’s Code

A prominent group of dataminers called The Game File Gurus have discovered a hidden mission in the code for Grand Theft Auto Online ’s Summer Special Update. They haven’t, however, figured out how to unlock the mission in game.

The mission involves a UFO and is classified as a business battle mission which are open world mission available to all players. The Game File Gurus were able to activate this mission through a lengthy process of trial and error which was more difficult for them then the time they unlocked an alien-themed secret mission back in 2017.

According to Kotaku, The Game File Gurus believe Rockstar, the game’s developer, might be attempting to hide these files from dataminers. Regardless, now that the mission’s existence is out in the open, it seems likely that the community will come together to try to figure out how the mission is unlocked.
