Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3 Coming This Year

Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3 Coming This Year

Telltale know how to tell a tale. They’ve basically monopolized the market on story-driven, episodic games. Not through any kind of extortion or shady business practices, but by being really damn good at what they do. Telltale can make a great episodic series out of anything. One of its most successful IP transformations has been The Walking Dead, which has seen two very successful “seasons” and the mini-series titled Michonne.

Telltale has announced that it’s working on Season 3 of The Walking Dead, which if you played the previous 2, might seem a little confusing. We won’t spoil anything, but it most are wondering exactly how Telltale will pick things up and continue on from the Season 2 finale, especially since it could have ended in a variety of ways based on the player’s choices. Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner told Mashable that “We’ve got a strategy to help Season 3 players… collect all their data from the previous games. We didn’t have the cloud services in Season 1 that we have now. So we’re going to have a solution for everybody that we’re not talking about yet.”

It’ll be interesting to see how they pull that one off. There’s no official release date for the Season 3 premier yet, but when we hear from Telltale we’ll let you know.
