Telltale is rapidly becoming one of my favorite video game developers. First, they give me a soul crushing moral-choice picnic with The Walking Dead , and now they are letting me be a hardboiled werewolf P.I. in The Wolf Among Us . There’s nothing I don’t like about either of those things, except for maybe that part in The Walking Dead 400 Days where they made me choose between a banker scum that made people lose their houses and liveliehoods and a rapist. Screw moral choices! Why can’t I just shoot both of them?
…Where was I?
Oh yes! Telltale is quickly becoming one of my favorite game developers, and now those guys are only scoring more brownie points, as IGN has reported that an anonymous voice from nowhere has told them that Telltale is developing a Game of Thrones game. Geez, take all my money right now. why don’t you?
Telltale wouldn’t officially comment on the rumor. In fact, the company went as far as saying, “We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time.” But it goes without saying that a point-and-click, moral-choice laden adventure game would fit quite well with the Game of Thrones IP. Game of Thrones is a lot less about stabbing people in battle and a lot more about stabbing people in political intrigue after all. Besides, if you are a die-hard fan, you know that White Walkers exist in the Game of Thrones universe, which technically makes it zombie fiction, and technically Telltale has a 100% success rate with zombie fiction.
Just make the damn game already Telltale! Consider this article my pre-order!
