Leaving fans ravenous for information following the game’s unveiling at last year’s TGS, it has been a long wait for new details. Fortunately, Team Ico decided to throw fans a couple bones at this year’s TGS. In fact, the game’s director Fumito Ueda even explained the long drought of information until this point, claiming they wanted to finish R&D on the game before discussing it fully, something they regretted not doing with Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.
The most important information revealed is that The Last Guardian now has a release window, set for holiday 2011. Past that, all fans have been given to go on is a new trailer, which features much more interaction between the game’s protagonist and his massive bird-dog hybrid like companion. There also seemed to be more footage that depicted gameplay, rather than the earlier reveal trailer which was used mostly to introduce players to the game’s two main characters.
