The Order Developer Optimistic About Visuals in the Future

While The Order: 1886 may be catching some flak for shipping a story mode which some feel is less than acceptable, it’s gotten few complaints in the graphics department. That’s an area the developer believes will only improve over time.

Ru Weerasuriya, an executive at Ready At Dawn, recently teased they are already setting their sights on the future and on how advancements in the current generation’s hardware will open new doors moving forward. “I know that there’s games coming out that are going to be so much better than the ones that we make even, visually… this generation is going to be pretty sweet. I’m excited purely because of this and what I’m thinking is going to be next, what I know we’re going to do next,” he said to VideoGamer.com.

And Weerasuriya isn’t just excited about the eye candy possibilities, but also the frontiers in play mechanics which are now evolving unlike anything we’ve seen in the past. He feels titles will soon begin to play better without sacrificing visual fidelity.

The Order: 1886 doesn’t hit store shelves for a few more days, but leaked gameplay footage uploaded to YouTube has stirred up a swarm of animosity among communities online. CheatCC will keep you posted as the story develops regarding this controversy.
