The P.T.-Inspired Allison Road Has Been Cancelled

Man, we can’t catch a break when it comes to horror games! First, Silent Hills was cancelled. Which meant P.T. , the playable trailer alluding to it, had to be delisted from the PlayStation Store. Now Allison Road , the indie game inspired by P.T. , has been cancelled too.

Allison Road began with a pre-alpha video and Kickstarter in 2015. While £145,959 of the £250,000 Lilith Ltd. was asking for was raised, it was cancelled early due to Team17 stepping up to act as a publisher. Earlier this year, Lilith was even looking for a character artist. But now, the official cancellation decree has appeared on Twitter . A full explanation wasn’t offered, but we should hear why it isn’t happening over the next few days.

This is absolutely disappointing. Everything about Allison Road seemed promising. Updates were coming rather regularly. It seemed like one of those indie projects destined to come to fruition. I hope the reason for the cancellation is a good one. Maybe it was just a beautiful cinnamon roll too good for this world; too pure.
