Official sales numbers have come out for January 2014, and Sony is still ahead. According to NPD, the PS4 is currently the best-selling console in January worldwide. According to Sony’s official blog, the PlayStation 4 has nearly doubled the sales of the Xbox One. This actually falls in line with Sony’s original sales numbers when the console first released, which also doubled the Xbox One’s. By the end of the holiday season, the two consoles had tied themselves up, but now it looks as though the PS4 is pulling ahead.
We don’t want to play favorites here. Frankly, we think that this generation’s launch is kind of disappointing all around. But numbers don’t lie. Maybe it has nothing to do with the game lineup.
