The release of The Walking Dead: 400 Days crept up on us like a zombie on an unarmed man. The DLC was released, rather suddenly, today on the PlayStation Network. The add-on will come out tomorrow on Steam after an update that will integrate Episode 1’s choice mechanics, and will launch Friday on Xbox LIVE with an iOS release coming out the following week.
The Walking Dead: 400 Days is best described as a horror anthology . It tells five different stories, each showing a view of the zombie apocalypse through the eyes of a different survivor. It shows how the apocalypse progresses, with some stories taking place as early as 2 days after the first zombie was spotted, and some taking place as long as 400 days after the apocalypse erupts (hence the name). The game will be influenced by decisions you made in episode 1, and the decisions you make in 400 days will then influence your starting conditions in episode 2 which will launch later this fall.
