Third-Party GPS Peripheral Available for DS Lite

None

The Ranger Global Positioning System has been announced for the Nintendo DS Lite by GBalpha. The Chinese company has yet to price the gizmo, and they haven’t quite finished their website.

Still, GPS functionality could come in handy if it works as advertised. The small peripheral slides into the GBA slot, has 32 MBs of onboard memory, uses “U-Blox 5 chip high-performance positioning,” and can even be hooked up to a PC via USB connection.

It supposedly can be loaded with detailed maps and “facilities” information. However, if the Engrish used on the site is any indication, you might want to wait till we get the hardware reviewed.
