Tom Clancy’s The Division Beta Dates Announced

Tom Clancy’s The Division Beta Dates Announced

We can’t get away from all of The Division headlines in gaming news lately. Anticipation is at an all-time high for the latest Tom Clancian tactical shooter, which this time takes the form of a massive MMORPG set in a near-future, dystopian New York City. If you’ve been dying to get some hands-on play time with the game, you’ll get that chance very soon.

Ubisoft has announced its first closed beta for The Division . The beta will go down January 29-31 on PC and PS4, and Xbox One players will have early access to the beta starting on January 28. If you pre-ordered the game you’re guaranteed access to the beta, but even if you haven’t made that commitment you can still join the wait list. It was pointed out by PC Gamer that due to the short length of this beta, it’s likely that Ubisoft is really doing more of a stress test, rather than getting feedback from players about the game. Taking that into consideration, it’s likely that many wait-listers will be admitted into the beta, so it’s worth signing up if you’re curious as to what all the fuss is about. The Division is set to release on March 8.
