Turok Coming to Xbox One, PS4 Is a Possibility

Turok Coming to Xbox One, PS4 Is a Possibility

If you grew up gaming in the 80’s or 90’s, then you’re probably very familiar with Turok. Dinosaur Hunter and its sequel, Seeds of Evil, were two of the most mature games you could play on your N64, and they were way ahead of their time. You played as a Native American warrior named Turok who wielded an incredibly diverse arsenal of weapons – everything from a knife and bow to pulse rifles and grenade launchers – as he did battle against beasts, savages, and freaking dinosaurs. Why? I have no idea, but the games were awesome.

Night Dive Studios, a little development company led by game designer Stephen Kick, has acquired the rights to the original Turok games and is planning to remaster them for the Xbox One. When fans asked about a PlayStation 4 version, Night Dive said (via Twitter ) that it was looking into other platforms. The exact statement said, “We’re evaluating other platforms, but can’t confirm at this time.”

I would assume that if the Xbox One merits a release, surely Night Dive will come around to the 36 million potential customers playing on their PS4s. As long as the price is right, I know I’ll be a day-1 buyer. If you want to see Turok on PS4 then hit Night Dive Studios up on Twitter and let your voice be heard.
