Umbrella Corps Pays Tribute to Resident Evil Code: Veronica

Umbrella Corps Pays Tribute to Resident Evil Code: Veronica

It’s great when a publisher finds a way to include some sort of shout out to one of its older, beloved titles in a new game. Capcom does it pretty often, and it’s doing so again with Umbrella Corps. The multiplayer shooter is going to salute Resident Evil Code: Veronica with one of its maps.

Umbrella Corps’ Antarctic Base is the same location from Resident Evil Code: Veronica . It’s a three floor location, and Umbrella obviously didn’t go back after the previous game’s events to clean up after the T-virus incident. It’s a mess, which may make it more dangerous for you! Make sure you use those ventilation ducts and ladders to your advantage.

Here’s an Umbrella Corps video showing off the Antarctic Base map. See if it jogs any memories!

There may not be any T-virus zombies from that incident still hanging around, but you might see some Mutated Zombies. They’re a new type of zombie available in the Antarctic Base’s Experiment single player and Multi-Mission Mode SP DNA Hunter ruleset. The Zombie Jammer doesn’t work on them and they’re really tough, so be careful when the game comes to the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on June 21!
