Uncharted 3 Patch Brings Uncharted 2 Features

Uncharted 3 Patch Brings Uncharted 2 Features

None

The team at Naughty Dog recently announced all the new gameplay elements that will be coming in Uncharted 3 patch 1.11. Why no 1.10? Because they skipped patch 1.10 and rolled its content into 1.11.

Elimination mode has come back, straight from Uncharted 2, and it will contain treasure drops from the Team Deathmatch mode.

The Lab, another popular Uncharted 2 feature, also returns, and its match parameters will change frequently. Currently, the Lab has a T-bolt/Pistole-only map, but new game types will be introduced regularly. The Lab will contain treasure drops from whatever mode its game type is based off of (Team Deathmatch for the T-bolt/Pistole-only map).

You can now tweak Respawn Time, Buddy Spawning, Health Multipliers, Sprinting, Weapon Modes, Kickbacks, Boosters, and grenades in custom game settings. Airstrip and London maps are now selectable with No Intro variations in Team Deathmatch. The Long Ranger medal can now be earned by achieving kills at 50 meters rather than 70 meters.

That’s about all there is for basic gameplay tweaks, though there’s a host of scoring tweaks as well. Leaving a game, disconnecting, or turning off your PS3 mid-game counts the game as a loss and still reports your kill/death ratio. That’s a big slap in the face to ragequitters. Kills and deaths in Plunder and Team Objective modes now no longer count toward your career stats as well.

The bottom line: Uncharted 3’s 1.11 patch is a game changer. We can’t wait.
