When we first heard about the yet-to-be-subtitled Uncharted game for Sony’s new NGP device, we were told that the game would tell a story that complimented Uncharted 2 and occurred between the first and second games. However, Naughty Dog has been able to confirm that Uncharted for the NGP will actually be a prequel to both of the games, following series protagonist Nathan Drake through an early adventure that will reveal more about his past. In addition to the clarification on the timeline, it has also been hinted at that there will be some kind of cross-platform content shared between Uncharted 3 and the NGP prequel. We couldn’t even imagine what kind of content this will be, since connectivity details on the NGP aren’t really known yet. However, many are speculating that it will be something simple like swappable in-game weapons, upgrades or costumes.  We’ll know more about both the NGP and about this new entry in the Uncharted series next month, as they are both sure to be shown off at this year’s E3 Expo.
