Those at Bungie sought to answer that very question recently, by analyzing online data across the diverse scope of Destiny players. It reveals the top ten weapons used across all levels, which are as follows:

- Khvostov 7G-02
- Cydonia-AR3
- The Stranger’s Rifle
- Marshal-A
- Suros Regime
- Marshal-A1
- Atheon’s Epilogue
- Shingen-E
- Galahad-E
According to Bungie, lead designer Sage ran the same experiment focusing on the “Crucible selections,” which garnered slightly different results. Here the SUROS Regime, Vex Mythoclast and Thorn move into the top three slots respectively.
