Who Does Xbox Head Phil Spencer Think Won E3?

All eyes were on Microsoft’s conference Monday, as a strong showing from the company was vitally important for the Xbox maker. While some are suggesting that Sony was the clear stand-out, Xbox Head Phil Spencer says YOU the gamer were the true winners!

Following this week’s event, Spencer took to the Xbox Wire and not only thanked fans that visited their booths, but touted the current success of all those in the industry. “We saw amazing games from innovative creators,” Spencer said “developed for Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo. Some people have asked who ‘won’ this week and the answer is simple–the gamers. It’s wonderful to see our industry healthy and delivering what we all want–great games.”

As you may know, Microsoft had a very rocky time following last year’s E3, where it was difficult for the company to shake the bad press garnered from several controversial announcements (their used game policy, Kinect privacy concerns, etc). However, by all accounts, Microsoft pulled out a strong showing this time.

With this year’s conference behind them, Spencer touts bringing content to their next-gen system (and first party titles) as their immediate focus for the future. “As we look ahead, our team is laser focused on delivering the best line-up of exclusive games and continuously working to deliver new features and improvements to Xbox One.”
