It’s been reported that Microsoft has given those who have registered themselves as Xbox One preview members a chance to play the multiplayer Beta of 343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians .
Occurring over the weekend, some lucky Xbox One players were able to have their own first-hand experience of Halo 5’s multiplayer Beta a whole 10 days before it’s slated to launch for everyone else. 343 Industries and Microsoft had reportedly planned to launch the Beta on Monday, December 29, but some the Xbox One preview members who gained early access to the Beta have chalked up the invite-only event as an early Christmas present.
Those eligible will have received two codes via a message from Xbox LIVE on the day the multiplayer Beta was made available to Xbox One preview members. These codes will have allowed for you to obtain the download for Halo 5’s multiplayer; one will let you download the Beta itself, the other will let you access it.
However, if you’re a late to take part in the game’s multiplayer Beta, you have until 3am Eastern Time today (Monday, December 22) to take part. You you log in, you’ll have access to new weapons, maps and even new Spartan abilities to get yourself acquainted with before anyone else can.
Microsoft has warned that the codes given are intended for Xbox One preview members only, and they shouldn’t be given to anyone outwith the programme.
” Any attempt to sell, give away, or trade these tokens will have consequences, up to and including removal from the Preview program and exclusion from future participation, ” Microsoft outlined in a statement.
Halo 5: Guardians’ proper multiplayer Beta is slated to start next week, and it’ll last up until Sunday, January 18.
