Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag will take you back to the world where Assassins and Templars are waging centuries-old war. Like the previous games in the series, ACIV will have two intertwined stories; one setting in the modern world, where an unnamed employee controlled by the player is working on the research for Abstergo Industries and the other, where most gameplay takes place, set in the 18th century where the player takes control of Edward Kenway. Edward is the father of Assassin’s Creed III’s playable characters Haytham Kenway and the grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton. A privateer-turned-pirate, events lead to Edward killing a Rogue assassin and assuming his role, sending a steady chain of events that will eventually land him in the middle of the centuries-old battle and conspiracy between the Templars and Assassins.
