Updated: Five Nights at Freddy’s World Creator Apologizes for the Game

Update: Cawthon has now removed Five Nights at Friddy’s Word from sale on Steam. He has asked Valve to make the game available for refunds regardless of how much time it has been played, and will release the finished version for free when it is complete. See his full statement here .

Five Nights at Freddy’s World had some issues at launch. The overworld map makes it difficult to find items you need to proceed through the game. There are no descriptions for skills, so you don’t know what anything does. You can’t see character stats, to know which ones are better than others. You can’t tell whose HP bars in battle belong to who. Also, there are inexplicable load times. The game had problems, and Scott Cawthon has officially acknowledged this.

Cawthon issued an apology on Steam for Five Nights at Freddy’s World . The creator acknowledges that this game was released too early and is missing features any good RPG should have. He explains that overeagerness led to the advance release and committed to updating the game in time.

As a show of good faith, updates have gone through that already fix some of Five Nights at Freddy’s World’ s issues . There’s now an overworld map, byte and chip descriptions have been added, and you can see attack command descriptions. In the meantime, let’s hope that there are more updates that fix the loading problems and unintentional bugs too .
